"HOMELAND," WITH 6 AWARDS IN TOW, RELEASES 2nd EDITION

A new, second edition of HOMELAND: The Illustrated History of the State of Israel was released in December 2008. This updated edition, the history of the State of Israel from biblical times through July 2008, includes the Winograd Commission Report on the war in Lebanon, the threat to Israel by Iran and Israel's 60th anniversary as a State.

Since its publication in April 2007, more than 7,500 copies of HOMELAND have been sold at Nachshon Press, in bookstores nationwide, and on-line including through Amazon.com. The graphic novel has also won six major literary awards (listed below).

"We're extremely proud of these highly respected literary awards," said William J. Rubin, Nachshon Press Executive Editor. "Our intent was to craft a book that dramatically told Israel's story in an innovative, new manner, while appealing to both teens and adults. These awards are deeply gratifying for everyone involved."

HOMELAND, a groundbreaking graphic nonfiction, is the only complete history of the State of Israel in graphic novel form on the market. With full-color art and dynamic narrative, HOMELAND is an engaging way for readers to understand key information about 3,500 years of complicated history that has become the focus of daily newscasts.
